MARCH 2010

WOW!!!  What else can I say? I said in my New Years blog that we would be busy....what an understatement; we have sold like hot cakes since my return on January 4, 2010. This means we now only have one Unit remaining in our 1st Stage, 5 in Stage 2 and we opened sales for stage 3.

Much interest is also being shown in our apartments. We will welcome our first resident to the Apartment wing in May.

Our Cafe is now open, serving hot drinks, cold drinks, fresh homemade cakes, hot food, and sandwiches. Our shop now operates with Mags, Local papers and some small most wanted items.

Our Club building is busy all the time, with activities now underway, Craft Group, Bowls, Billiards and much more. Our pool will open before the end of March, fingers crossed, it looks great.

We have welcomed 5 new households to Blue Hills since Christmas and have approximately the same number coming in over the next month or so.

If you haven't had the time to see our new building please make time to call in, our cafe is a great reason to just pop in Monday to Wednesday 10-2.

Have a great March.

Make the move, call Blue Hills Rise home TODAY.

JANUARY 1, 2010

Happy New Year to all...

Well didn't 09 go fast; I'm currently taking a break in Echuca with the family, recharging the batteries ready for a busy year. The office reopens on the 4th January at 9.00am and after the interest prior to the Christmas period I am expecting a busy Jan/Feb time.

February will see the official opening of our new CLUB facility; this is a wonderful building with a relaxed feel. Our pool is now tiled to four sides, and hopefully will not take too much longer to be completed, our Gym, Sports Bar and Cinema are up and running and we have now taken delivery of our Indoor Bowls Carpets...these will bring out the competitors.

Stage 2 construction is continuing and in the coming months, construction of the remaining 8 ILU's will be undertaken. We now have 17 Happy House Holds on site and many more coming between now and the end of Feb.

Our new Stephanie Apartments are now selling, and you can have the choice of many if you purchase now. Call me, and I may just be able to do you a deal while the boss is away....SHHHHHH don't tell her.

So make 20TEN your year for a new lifestyle, come join me, and my wonderful residents where the lifestyle continues.....BLUE HILLS RISE.

August 22, 2009.

The Club construction is nearing completion, with an estimated move in date for the office set for 23rd Sept 2009.  The construction has taken many months, but the finish project will surely be worth the wait. An inspection yesterday following our forthnightly construction meeting, saw the finishing touches be put in place in many of the areas. The pool wave roof is now complete, the pool remains under wraps for safety of the construction team work above on the new roof and surrounds.

The Bar and sports bar areas await floor coverings and some fittings, the commercial kitchen is at fit out stage with flooring being laid this week and the bench etc being fitted following the floor coverings. The front reception main entrance doors have been put in place and the cafe is nearing completion, The admin office area is awaiting a couple of major items....carpet and ME, which will hopefully be around the 23rd Sept.

Our 2 bedroom apartments are having finishing touches done, and carpet in on the way, not much more to do, and a display will open shortly after our hand over of the building.

During September we will be at the Melbourne Retirement and Lifestyle Expo at Caulifield, please come and say hello to us, i will have residents with me at the Expo, a great way to hear a living in our great village. In October we will also be holding our Open Day as part of the RVA Open Day event, this will be held on Oct 11 and 12, check the calendar for details.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.... 2009/10

Well how time flies, since my last update. The Club is well on the way to completion, the interior is looking great, with most of the plaster and painting complete and tiling to toilets and change rooms underway. This building is over an acre in floor size so you can understand why it is taking so long, we are expecting the Building to Opening in October 2009.

The Club features excellent amenities and facilities, but one of the best things about this building is the 2 Bedroom Stephanie Apartments, with the best of independent living options, these are Resort Style Living that you never have to leave.

The unit construction continues, happy residents have moved in recently to Periwinkle Drive with more to come in the coming months.  Landscaping works continue around our new units and will soon move to The Club this will also see the completion of the Caravan Storage area.

Updated: Tuesday 31st March 2009

On the 2nd of March in my previous write up, I placed photos of the units under construction in stage 2, well you should see them now.  Units 19 & 20 are now nearing completion with paint and tiles to be done in the coming days, all units backing on to the earth bund wall are now underway and many are at roof stage. I will include some pics later for you to see.

During March we welcomed two more house holds to Blue Hills Rise, and last Friday afternoon I had the pleasure of having all of the current residents around to the sales office for a Friday afternoon get together, our first happy hour for the new village.

Today i sit with fingers, toes, arms and anything else i can cross, waiting for the commencement of the installation of the front gates, our rock wall is now as good as done and looking great, so the finish touch to the entrance apart from landscaping is the automatic gates.

On a lighter note, building is progressing well on site. Our Club is well and truly taking shape. The Apartment wings are nearing fit out stage. The internals plastering of the Administration and front reception will soon commence following the completion of the Colour Bond Roof to that section of building.

External to the building, you can see the difference from previous blogs as to how far it has progressed. This morning i was greeted with a large crane lifting in huge beams to support the veranda sections to the bowling green and cafe sides of the building.

Update 08/08/08

Luck on our side

The site is abuzz with construction happening on many levels, the displays continue to grow, the smell of fresh paint, the sight of kitchens fitted, and the vision of tiles being layed just confirm that it won't be long until we are open for business.

I visited the site this week with 2 couples whom will next year call Blue Hills Rise home, it is exciting to be able to show people through the not yet finished...but getting close display homes and the feedback is great. Our displays show that all the hard work is well worth it.

The administration centre officially known as THE CLUB is growing quickly, just six weeks ago the site was dirt...well mud, now the almost acre size slab is nearing completion, the Apartments are marked out and the second wing frames now stand tall, outling the newest addition to the Blue Hills Family the Two Bedroom Stephanie Apartment. The internal under slab plumping is complete, the pool now outlined with orange bunting, is at depth and lined with gravel ready for its concrete lining. So 6weeks down of construction, and 52 weeks to go.

Excitiment filled the air this week with the connection of electricity to the site. The puzzle of grey water(A grade recycle), drinkable water, gas, electrical and other pipes is mind blowing. The site has also seen the construction of the communications room over the past week, the comms room will also house storage for our tennis court accessories and equipment. The tennis court will be under construction from September 08.
The pictures above show the externals of the units, now nearing completion, the 1st picutre is taken looking east along the rear yards of the display units, the first unit with the cream band is the Annaleise. The second and third photo's are taken looking north towards the fronts of the displays showing the Allison(with colourbond roof), Annaleise, Madeleine, Camilla with centred pitch verandra and half renender and finally the Courtney with reendered band. Below the new look kitchens, with draws and gloss fronts shine in the sun, stone bench tops will waterfall to the floor of the breakfast bar.
Visit us on the Sat 16th, Sun 17th, Mon18th at the Baby Boomers Lifestyle Expo at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, South Bank. For more information and times visit the official website. http://babyboomerslifestyleexpo.com.au/

Construction Update 26/05/08

Well.... construction is moving quickly now, I am surprise everytime i visit the construction site. The five display units are now above ground as the pictures below show, roads for stage 1 are complete, with the road run off now slowly filling our lake.

I recently watch VFL game day on ABC, and was excited to see the Display Units growing in the background. Casey Fields is a great facility with many sports taking place regularly. The complex has ovals, tennis courts, netball courts, Ruby Fields and Cycling track, the pride of Casey Field is the VFL oval - Casey Scorpions Home Ground, just over our back fence. Below are some pics of a recent Cricket Match -South Melbourne Cricket Club v's unknown, on one of the oval which overlooks Blue Hills Rise

Our Administration Building is now under construction with underground works continuing, the indoor pool will soon be visable as it is one of the first projects to begin on the admin site. The Roads which surround the complex and Bowling Green have commenced and will be completed prior to the major construction works begin in the coming weeks.

The photo below is overlooking the roundabout to the front entrance of the Country Club/Administration Building. To the right will be the Bowling Green, to the left the main entrance and Alfresco Cafe, straight in front(middle of pic) the Library/Dance floor area. The tall tree in the distance, approximately the Prestwick 6 Golf Course.

 admin.jpg

The main entrance Indigo Rise will soon be lined with classic double headed light poles. The brick paver inlays of the main entrance mark the location of the front gates, the front fence will commence in the coming months, adding security to the site for the new residents who will move in to the village in the next 3 to 4 months.

I hope you have enjoyed the update and can see how things are changing.
